Shawtae Harris, aka noted rapper Da Brat, was sentenced to three years in prison plus seven years probation for breaking a bottle over a woman’s head during a party last year.
The fight took place at Jermaine Dupri’s Studio 72 near Atlanta Georgia, when a waitress at the club had words with Harris. In the end, the waitress was sent to the hospital and ended up with permanent facial scars. The 34-year-old rapper, who was charged with felony aggravated assault, was taken immediately out of the courtroom to begin serving her sentence.
