Two of Disney’s brightest stars have more in common than their matching guitar pick necklaces.

Selena Gomez (star of the Disney Channel Original Series “Wizards of Waverly Place”) and Demi Lovato (from the Disney Channel Original Movie “Camp Rock”) were two talented ten-year-olds each growing up in Texas, strangers until they met auditioning for the new television show “Barney and Friends” in 1992.

The future BFFs bonded over crayons and coloring books, then both landed roles on the hit PBS show…leading them to the Disney fold.

On “Live with Regis and Kelly”, Selena credits Barney for teaching her everything she needed to know about performing…from how to work in front of a camera to learning her manners.
