“Transformers” star Shia LaBeouf was lucky to come out of his rollover car crash Sunday morning with few injuries.
Access Hollywood confirms he was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Thursday night after having surgery on his left hand.
Along with his recovery to endure, LaBeouf now must deal with police suspicion of a DUI playing a part in his accident.
“Transformers” director Michael Bay defends LaBeouf in an interview with Billy Bush for Access Hollywood. “You’re gonna see – that’s gonna go away,” Bay told Billy. “That’s fresh news, he was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before.”
With LaBeouf’s hand injury to deal with, the director said they may actually write that into the “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” script.
