Chris Noth, a.k.a. Mr. Big, famed paramour of Carrie Bradshaw on HBO’s super series Sex and the City will not be returning for season eight of Law & Order: Criminal Intent shown on the USA network.

Noth (rhymes with ‘both’), who originated the character of New York police Detective Mike Logan on Law & Order in 1990, will pursue the bad guys one last time this Sunday night as Noth exits the show. It’s still a mystery how Logan will be written off. Will Logan go quietly? Kicking and screaming? Wearing cement overshoes?
Although Noth will miss his Law & Order family, he is sure to stay busy keeping tabs on the lounge and music club he co-owns in the Flat Iron District of Manhattan, “The Cutting Room”.
Fans of Mr. Big will be happy to know that Noth, a graduate of Yale School of Drama, intends to keep on acting. Besides the sequel to the recent smash film, Sex and the City, fans can look forward to seeing Noth again on the big screen, since he is now shooting a movie with co-star Renee Zellweger in the upcoming dramedy, My One and Only.
Mike Logan is one of the most popular detectives in television history, according to Dick Wolf, Law & Order franchise guru. New Yorker Noth enjoyed playing Det. Logan and loved shooting Law & Order on location in New York City. Noth says, “The last few years have been fantastic: ‘All’s well that ends well.’”
