Armed with catchy, pop lyrics and playful melodies, Minneapolis’ indie-pop rock quintet One for the Team embarks on their first West Coast tour. The tour started Aug. 1 in Bozeman, MT and will commence Aug. 22 with two CD release parties in Minneapolis at the 7th Street Entry.

While the band has spread their brand of pop-rock across the East Coast and Midwest, this is the group’s first time playing in the Western states. The tour celebrates the release of the band’s sophomore album, “Build It Up”, and their recent contract with Los Angeles-based record label The Militia Group.

If you are a first time listener to the band, be prepared to hear something special. When listening to songs such as “Best Supporting Actor” and “Apples” – both of which are found on “Build It Up” – the entire body experiences pure pop bliss. The union of guitarist Ian Anderson’s and synth player Grace Fiddler’s voices creates a warm fuzzy feeling in the listener’s ear that travels straight down to the belly. A smile spreads from ear to ear as both feet tap along to the beat.

“Build It Up” hits stores nationwide Aug. 19 but is currently available for purchase on iTunes.
