It’s official: Hugh Hefner and Holly Madison are no longer together. Madison was one of Hefner’s three live-in girlfriends seen on the E! Networks “The Girls Next Door.”

“If Holly says it’s over, I guess it’s over,” Hefner said.
Hefner admitted the he’d expected to spend the rest of his life with Holly, and that he was “down in the dumps,” about the breakup.
The 28-year-old model/actress secured her role as celebrity starring in the reality series with Hefner’s other girlfriends Kendra Wilkinson, 23, and Bridget Marquardt, 35, as one of the 82-year-old publisher’s girlfriends who live with him in the Playboy Mansion in L.A.
Though surprised by the split, Hefner acknowledged he had a feeling it was inevitable after he told Madison they couldn’t have children and would never get married.
The Playboy mogul said he told Madison the news about six months ago, adding that he was unaware until recently that the news significantly depressed her. “That was a revelation in the last days and weeks,” he said.
As for the future Hefner intends to seek out new live-in lovers.
Currently the newest members of the house, though not girlfriends—yet, are 19-year-old Playmate twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon.
“It’s a big house,” he said. “And I’m not going to live alone. I’m definitely not going to live alone.”
