Episode Four – After Tribal Council Fang discusses how terrible it was, they are also running low on rice and paranoia is kicking in with all the members.

First challenge – rank the tribe members 1 – 10, with #1 being the most valuable person in the tribe. After a consensus Kota ranks Marcus their #1 mate, Fang chooses Matty as #1. Then Jeff drops a bombshell, the Survivors must choose new team members. Just as some had solidified their alliances, they are now thrown in a new direction. One by one each new team is formed:
Kota – Marcus, Dan, Charlie, Randy, Corinne, Susie, and Bob. Fang – Matty, Ace, Crystal, Jacquie, Ken, Kelly, and GC. This leaves Sugar by herself and she is sent to exile once more until after Tribal Council where she will replace who ever is voted off.
At the Fang camp the alliance of Crystal, GC and Ken recruit a new member, Kelly. Randy and Susie, now at Kota, confess that they are nervous about being outnumbered by original Kota members. Susie observes that the other members appreciate Bob’s hard work, so she joins in as a worker and hopes the Kota members notice.
Treemail time! It’s an immunity challenge. The game is Lacrosse meets Water Polo. On a lake each Survivor sits in an inner tube manned with a paddle/lacrosse stick. Members paddle to get the ball, throw it to other members closer to their opponent’s goal that can shoot the ball into the goal to score. Survivors find it EXTREMELY difficult to paddle and control their inner tubes and in the littlest visible effort to participate, some don’t move for the entire game. Marcus and Ace are the major participants. Jeff even calls Fang member Kenny “virtually useless.” In a tough finishing goal, Randy scores the final and winning point for Kota. Jeff calls the game “One of the most lopsided challenges so far.” So true, Jeff. So true.
Day 12 – Ace calls his team’s performance like “legless chickens.” The rest of Fang jokes and sulks about their poor performance during the challenge. Originally, Jacquie or Ace were to be out, but based on the game’s performance the focus goes to Kelly. GC brings up Sugar’s immunity idol and the possibility of her sharing it with Jacquie, giving the alliance of Jacquie, Ace and Kelly the power in the tribe and alliance Crystal, Ken and GC do not want that. Matty confides in Jacquie and confesses the alliance’s plan. Jacquie turns on the pressure and talks with Ken about not wanting to be voted out and that Kelly deserves it more.
Tribal Council time arrives for team Fang. GC is the first to talk and seems to have the same goals as Matty, wanting to keep the team strong, and T.C. makes them weaker. Trust is the main topic of conversation about whether or not they can trust their new members. Jeff calls out Jacquie as one of the strongest members, male or female, in the game, making the situation a little hypocritical when Jacquie is the 4th member of Survivor: Gabon voted out of the game.

Episode Five – Fang returns to camp after Tribal Council where Sugar rejoins them and original alliance mate, Ace. Fang members quiz Sugar about Exile and whether she located the idol. She’s general and admits to choosing “Comfort” instead of “Clue” most of the time. Crystal confesses, “I feel in my heart that Sugar has the idol, sooo, I gotta get rid of her.” Oops!
At Kota Day 13, everyone is in good spirits due to the tilapia that Bob and Marcus catch. But even as the good mood continues, some former Fang members are concerned about the pecking order if they end up at Tribal Council. But Randy is comfortable saying, “I have no complaints.”
Fang receives a couple of visitors. Matty finds an elephant and its baby just across the water at their camp. He gathers up everyone to watch the amazing sights. The incredible elephant footage caught by the camera guy is fascinating. These elephants are so close to our beloved Survivors.
It’s time for the first challenge for this week. Kota expresses their surprise about Jacquie. The game has Survivors throwing fruit through holes in a wall for other members to catch. One member from the opposing team has a wooden bat to knock the fruit out of the air. Who ever has the heaviest basket of fruit at the end receives an herb garden to spice up their food.
Both teams struggle at first, but finally get into a groove! Each team works together productively for the first time. It’s a close game, with the teams weighing in at practically the same amount. Fang comes in at 15 pounds but Kota beats them by 2 pounds and is awarded the herbs and spices. Kota chooses Sugar once again to go to Exile. In a strategic move, Dan confesses it will be easier to keep track of who has the immunity idol and that she will inevitably be the one to play it. Very smart move on Kota’s behalf.
At Fang, tensions start to boil between alliance members GC and Crystal. GC mentions the game is harder than he imagined and says, “it definitely plays tricks with your head… You know I’ve kind of had enough of these people.”
Treemail! Immunity challenge time. Before Fang can leave for the challenge, GC takes the canoe and no one can find him. Threatened with having to leave without one of their own, they ban together to find him. Finally he returns and says he would have been fine if the team had left without him.
At the challenge, one member of each tribe throws a ball down a hill while another member is blindfolded and armed with a shield to try and block the other team’s ball from scoring a goal. The blockers have the aid of a caller, which proves to be the only person capable of controlling anything in the game. Defender for Fang is Ace and caller is Sugar, defender for Kota is Dan and caller is Randy. Alliance mates Ace and Sugar have difficulty communicating. Ace takes a shield to the face, but no serious injury occurs. With one throw left the teams have close scores. At the end it is Kota who takes the win and Fang has their 4th date with Jeff at Tribal Council.
At Fang, GC confesses to Matty, “I’m ready to leave the game.” Matty tries to talk him out of it knowing there’s no turning back. While Sugar and Ace are by the water, the other team members, namely Crystal, go through Sugar’s bag and find the idol. The plan to vote GC out changes in an effort to blindside Sugar instead.
At Tribal Council, GC discusses wanting to leave. Another issue brought up is whether Sugar leaves her bag out open for team members to go through since that is allowed in the game. Jeff asks, “Do you think your bag has been gone through or no?” Sugar just shrugs. After all the votes are cast GC gets his wish and is the 5th person voted off of Survivor: Gabon.
