Hail to the chief! Whoopi Goldberg announced last week that the President himself will be appearing on The View.
President Barack Obama will be sitting with the morning show ladies on Thursday, July 29. When he does, The View will be making history. Whoopi proudly told Viewers this will be the “first time in history a president will be appearing on a daytime talk show.”
While it’s the norm for the women of the show to be absent from the panel from time to time, Whoopi assured us that all five hosts will attend the President’s appearance. And yep, that includes Barbara Walters, who has been recovering from heart surgery and didn’t plan to return until September.
President Obama did appear on the talk show once before he was leader of the free world. He stopped in to see Barbara and her co-hosts to promote his book before he ran for president.
This time around, with his untold amount of secret service agents, you can bet this will be the most men The View’s studio audience has ever seen!
