There’s a reason why paparazzi stake out on Robertson Boulevard…the reason being that celebrities love to frequent this upscale shopping street to either try on the latest trends or to publicly lunch as gawkers, passerby’s and photographers stop and stare. In fact, TMZ once deemed Robertson as “the new red carpet.”
Robertson is home to The Ivy, a Los Angeles restaurant known for its steep prices and celebrity clientele. More often than not, the patio is populated by familiar Hollywood faces as they eat with friends, business associates or sit and wait for the eager paparazzi to snap their picture.
Famed director George Lucas was just seen there having lunch with his wife Mellody this week.
Also located on Robertson, Newsroom Café is another celebrity hot spot that features lower prices and a menu full of healthy options.
At the peak of Paris Hilton’s popularity, Kitson emerged as the premiere place to shop, as the trendy heiress and her friends were often seen walking in and out of the store’s shiny glass doors. Although Kitson is still a Robertson favorite, you’re probably more likely to see stylists here than the celebrities themselves. Just down the street you’ll find Kitson for Men, the shopping equivalent for guys where celebs like Zac Efron have been spotted.
