No matter if you’re living on the East Coast, the West Coast or anywhere in between, here are 10 must-have items to complete your Fall wardrobe.
I’m a complete sucker for jackets, and I live in Southern California where jackets are not as necessary (most of the year, anyway) but I’m prepared for those few days of cold weather we do get. So, that brings me to my favorite item on the list:
1. Leather Jackets. Leather jackets are great with a pair of jeans and boots, or even over your cocktail dress. The leather jacket is one of the most versatile items this fall – great for any occasion!
2. Parkas. For all you East Coasters and those in the Midwest, having a parka to battle the rain, sleet and snow is a definite must-have.
3. Knit Sweaters. Oh-So-Perfect for cold days – so cozy and warm. Enough said.
4. Fur Vests. With your fabulous fur find, think simplicity when layering…nothing over the top! Stick to neutral colors.
It might be chilly outside, but that doesn’t mean we have to be so casual every day… you can still find creative ways to dress up. The next item on my list is a fun one.
5. Floral Dresses. Turn your Summer dresses into Fall must-haves with leggings and boots (You can also add a cropped leather jacket – mixing edgy/rocker styles with sweet dresses is a great tip to update your look). Positively Celebrity has some adorable ones on sale here!
6. Skirts. From mini’s to fuller tulip shaped, we’re already seeing a ton of skirts paired with a variety of tops and layering pieces on young Hollywood ingenues.
7. Scarves. I heart scarves. They’re so great for cold weather, and perfect for adding personality to an otherwise plain outfit.
8. Leopard Prints. Leopard, leopard and more leapord, please! I think my animal print accessory this fall will definitely be a leopard handbag. Shoes, skirts, dresses, tops, scarves and accessories are all perfect ways to incorporate this trend, without going overboard.
9. Boots. Knee-highs, flats, ankle-booties, lace up, stilettos…you can’t go wrong with having several options to pair with jeans, skirts and even cocktail dresses.
Lastly, one of the most popular pants to walk down the runway recently at New York Fashion Week was the cargo pant! So…that brings me to the final must-have item on my list:
10. Cargo pants. They are casual, but so easy to dress up for a nigh on the town. Skinny cargos look great dressed up with a pair of heels…and make for a more flattering silhouette.
