Call it a chick flick if you will, but “Something Borrowed” is something you’ll want to see!  Read on for why!

The talented and charming cast were the perfect balance of funny and romantic.  Ginnifer Goodwin leads the cast as the lovable good girl and lawyer, Rachel.  Kate Hudson plays Darcy, her very blond and very wild best friend.  Darcy is engaged to Dex, otherwise known as Colin Egglesfield, a gorgeous former model and soap star with chiseled cheekbones and abs (swoon!).  In the movie, Dex is also a lawyer.  Bringing the funny is John Krasinski as Ethan, good friend to Rachel and the funniest guy in the film!

Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) becomes the center of the story when after her 30th birthday, (a tough one for all of us gals, for sure!), she admits to Dex, (her best friend Darcy’s fiance, remember) that she had a crush on him years ago in law school.  And then of course, he kisses her and they sleep together.  Naturally.

Things get more and more complicated as Rachel lets herself fall for Dex, who is getting married very soon!  And Dex is still very much in a relationship with Darcy (Kate Hudson).  And then of course Darcy introduces Dex’s friend Marcus to Rachel, hoping to help her single friend, which makes Dex jealous.  And Ethan (John Krasinski) is being the voice of reason and a good friend, but really, guys are never “friends” with women without a hidden agenda, right?  It all adds up to one thing…drama!

The movie worked because the characters were so well written and acted (by some of my favorites, might I add!  Shout out to Kate and John!)  The story also seemed real and accessible, not contrived and impossible.  And Colin Egglesfield will make you drool.

This romantic comedy delivers a story you’ll love and a cast worth that ticket price.  Grab your girlfriends and head to the movies!  This is definitely one for the ladies, but a good one!
