If you loved “The Hangover,” you should see “The Hangover Part 2,” just don’t expect too much; read on for why!

“The Hangover Part 2″ was a carbon copy of the first, leaving it an unimaginative story with no surprises or reward for the audience.  While there was a different groom, a change of venue, and a different member of the bachelor party missing, there was nothing new for the audience to take away from the movie.  Except for the raunch factor.

In an effort to out-do itself, there was a lot of full-frontal nudity and lots of raunch; most of it centering around a tiny monkey the guys find in their hotel room when they wake up clueless.  Obviuosly the writers purposely sent the characters to Bangkok so that they could one; take advantage of the sex scene there and two;  exploit the second syllable of the city’s name.

What I did like about the movie was the laugh-out-loud moments supplied by Zach Galifianakis as Alan.  I’m not sure whether his lines were scripted or improv, but he really showed up for this movie!  Especially hilarious was his first scene when the gang comes to visit him at his parents’ house, where he still lives (and acts) like a twelve-year-old.  His relationship with the monkey was also endearing and provided lots of funny.

Another character who really showed up for this one was Mr. Chow!  Who knew we would see him in Part 2?  With his role expanded, Ken Jeong (although supplying a lot of raunch himself), was a total scene-stealer.  No longer an enemy, he brought the party and the drama that kept the story going.
