Beyonce’s latest decree is that girls run the world!
She took a break from sitting court side with hubby Jay-Z long enough to make this year’s next big single. Officially released last week, Beyonce’s “Run The World (Girls)” is gradually edging out other chart toppers and bringing along a bit of controversy, too.
“Run The World” samples Major Lazer’s Pon de Floor, a huge club hit from DJs, Diplo and Switch.
And fans and critics are divided on whether or not Beyonce’s new, female-empowerment anthem does the original version justice.
