“From Bad to Cursed” is the brand-new second book in Hyperion’s trilogy “Bad Girls Don’t Die”. The novels are supernatural thrillers that tell the story of Alexis Warren, a pink-haired, ghost-fighting high school girl (gotta love the sound of that).
In the first book, Warren’s little sister Kasey is possessed by an evil spirit dwelling in their gothic haunted house, and in the second book, Kasey tries to fit in at school by joining “The Sunshine Club,” a group of girls who gain beauty and popularity with the help of a seemingly harmless demon named Aralt. Confident she can solve her sister’s ghosty problems again, Alexis joins up–and soon finds herself in way over her head.
Zendaya Coleman stars in “From Bad to Cursed” Book Trailer
If the new video trailer for the trilogy is any indication of the book, it’s sure to be one thrilling, nail-biting, awesome ride! The trailer stars the adorably talented Zendaya Coleman from Disney’s “Shake It Up!” and was directed by Alender’s husband, Christopher.
“The best thing about a book trailer is that my readers get a glimpse of the story world the way it looks inside my head,” said Alender. “Plus, they’re so much fun to make!”

Zendaya was equally as excited to be a part of the production. When she first read the script for the trailer, she got chills! “On my show, I’m kind of upbeat and cheery all the time, but definitely for this I had to bring out my dark side”, she said.
And she did just that, because her performance in the trailer was incredible. “She’s a complete pro. I was in awe. She just came in and got it immediately!” says Alender of working with Zendaya. “Her performance really makes the trailer for me.”
