The cast of “Crazy, Stupid, Love” is amaze; funnyman Steve Carell, the ever-gorgeous Julianne Moore, smoking hot Ryan Gosling and It-girl Emma Stone. Not to mention smaller roles starring Marissa Tomei and Kevin Bacon. Read on for whether or not you should see this one!
Steve Carell wrote the screenplay and stars as Cal Weaver, a husband and father who is dealing with his marriage falling apart. When he’s taken on as a makeover case by Jacob (Ryan Gosling), a very smooth-talking ladies man, comedy ensues. Of course drama follows, as Cal tries to win back his wife and Jacob falls in love.
Unfortunately, if you’ve seen the trailer, you’ve seen 50% of the movie. It starts out great, then gets really slow when you think it should be wrapping up. On the other hand, Ryan Gosling is. so. gorgeous. I literally could not stop drooling over him the whole movie! He’s shirtless. And has washboard abs. It’s a must-see.
Another bright spot in the film is the role of Jessica the babysitter, played by newcomer Analeigh Tipton (whose short list of credits that includes being a contestant on “America’s Next Top Model”!) She really sells it as the akward seventeen-year-old; keep an eye out for more from Analeigh!
