Jennifer Love Hewitt stars as Riley Parks in this Lifetime drama; and though normally I would steer clear of the campy stuff I see on Lifetime, JLH is really great as a fiery single mom from Texas.  Her husband just up and left her with two little kids, a mortgage that they’re behind on, and no explanation of where he went and why.  Needing money fast, she takes a job at a massage spa, an hour away from home, where she provides some extras.

Her smokin’ hot brother-in-law is great man candy, played by Colin Egglesfield who you might remember as Dex from “Something Borrowed.”  The casts amazing good looks and light take on heavy subjects give the show a “Desperate Housewives” feel, which is good news for fans who will miss that show when it ends this month.  “The Client List” was just renewed for season two!

Girls

HBO’s new show about what it’s like to REALLY be single in NYC is a hit with critics.  The Judd Apatow-produced series is raw and awkward, but isn’t that life?  These four friends are nothing like the other four females we remember from HBO; rather, they’re a true-to-life version of what happens when you move to New York in your 20’s because you were inspired by “Sex and the City.”  Really a must-see!

Veep

Also new to HBO, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Anna Chlumsky (hello “My Girl,” where have you been?) are a hilarious team as fictional Vice President of the United States and her Chief of Staff, respectively.

The dialog is quick and witty, and the supporting cast of characters will leave you in stitches.  (My personal fave is Tony Hale, better known as ‘Buster Bluth’ of “Arrested Development” fame!)  Though the story lines are original, I love that Julia injects a little of the Sarah Palin vibe into her character, Selina!

There has been so much hype about “The Avengers” that this has become the must see film of the year. What’s all the rage about?

For starters, some of Hollywood’s hottest celebs are starring such as the smokin’ hunk, Robert Downey, Jr., and one of Hollywood’s sexiest women alive, ScarJo, aka, Scarlett Johansson. The superheroes pack a lot of heat and viewers are so captivated they cannot seem to get enough of the action.

The success of “The Avengers” has skyrocketed and the company is planning a sequel to the hit film. What do you think the future holds for “The Avengers?” Will you see the sequel once it’s in theaters? Leave us a comment and let us know!

Jessica Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson had Maxwell Drew Johnson, their first baby girl, weighing in at a whopping 9 pounds 13 ounces. It is so inspiring for women to see how Jessica absolutely glowed throughout her pregnancy. Simpson indulged in the joys of good food, media attention, photoshoots, and the love of her fiancé who was by her side. Jess radiated such happiness all future mothers hope to have one day.

Baby Romo, known as Hawkins Crawford Romo, was born to parents Tony and Candice on April 9, 2012. With a dad like Tony Romo, Hawkins will be a star athlete in no time. Let’s be honest, the Romo family is gorgeous, but Candice in particular will be one stunning mother this Sunday. Has never been a more beautiful woman during the whole pregnancy process? Candice, tell us your secret.

Do you wonder what it would be like to be born famous? We’ll have to ask Blue Ivy Carter in a few years who was born to international superstars Jay-Z and Beyoncé. This baby girl will one day be quite the showstopper and fashionista. Look out Suri, you have some stiff competition.

Congrats to all the Celebrity mothers and mothers to be. We are so happy for you, Hillary Duff, Alessandra Ambrosio and Courtney Mazza, who just gave birth to beautiful babies, Katherine Heigl, who just adopted another daughter, and Anna Faris, who is expecting. Way to go, you have all joined the infamous Celebrity Mommy Club. I hope your husbands, families, and children spoil you beyond your expectations as you all deserve.

Seacrest also signed a new $30 million deal to continue with his American Idol hosting duties for the next two years, and will maintian his managing editor position with E! News.  He is also behind the new E! reality series “Married to Jonas” which will follow eldest Jonas brother Kevin and his wife Danielle.

Rita’s rocker chic look is a chip off the old Rihanna block, and her youthful, party anthem, “How We Do,” is like a mix between Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” and “Last Friday Night.”

I understand the need to conform to the “good girl with a rough side” persona because that image has had an insanely successful track record. Other than squeaky clean Beyonce,’ it’s the route taken by essentially every female pop star over the past 15 years.

And in total honesty, I was on the cusp of writing Rita Ora off as one of those pre-packaged, one-hit-wonders (sorry, Jigga), until I watched her acoustic performance on YouTube.

I marveled at her natural vocal ability as I watched (and watched again) Rita Ora perform acoustic versions of “Roc the Life” and “R.I.P.” While she’s not Amy Winehouse’s reincarnate, Rita’s beautiful voice, speckled with her British accent, made my mind wander to “Rehab.” After scouring the Internet and seeing her music videos and live performances, it was the acoustic renditions, where her genuine talent shined the brightest, that I loved best.

I kinda want Jay-Z and the Roc Nation to take a page from Adele’s book and promote Rita Ora more as a talented vocalist and less as another ripped fishnet, bold lipstick wearing pop star (though I do love torn stockings and a good matte lip color from MAC). Because she can really sing, and she’s naturally gorgeous, so all the other chips will fall as they should.

In my book, Rita Ora is authentically a star with the ability to transcend one-hit-wonderdom with the sheer awesomeness of her voice alone.

Men In Black 3, May 25

The king of holiday weekend movies – Will Smith – is back with the third installment in the MIB franchise opening on Memorial Day weekend.  Tommy Lee Jones is also back, though he’ll mostly be seen as his younger self from the past by way of Josh Brolin (great casting!)  These guys still look good in suits and shades!

Snow White and The Huntsman, June 1

Kristen Stewart steps away from her fragile Bella Swan alter ego and stars as a butt-kicking Snow White opposite the swoon-worthy Chris Hemsworth.  Gorgeous Charlize Theron is the evil queen…could this cast get any hotter?  Good thing the AC will be cranking in the theaters!

The Amazing Spiderman, July 3

Andrew Garfield takes his turn as Spidey in this new franchise.  Emma Stone plays his love interest Gwen Stacy (and that romance is still burning off screen!)  In Garfield’s first turn as the Superhero, we get to peek into his past and explore why his parents disappeared.

The Bourne Legacy, August 3

Jeremy Renner, the most busy man at the box office these days, takes over the franchise made famous by Matt Damon.  Renner plays a new character whose story was triggered by the first three films, and will no doubt be just as action-packed.  Joan Allen and Albert Finney return to their roles, but Renner is joined by Rachel Weisz and Edward Norton in the freshman class.

I was getting my roots touched up by my good friend and hairstylist this past weekend, when he mentioned that my hair was in dire need of a serious deep conditioning. Instead of applying his usual glossing treatment, he applied a homemade hair mask that he said many pros in the industry recommended to their clients.  He claims it works better than the expensive treatments he has sold in his salons. It’s all natural and I have to admit, it left my hair feeling very soft and silky and the best part, you can whip it up in your kitchen in minutes!

The magical moisturizing hair mask is one half pitted avocado mixed with 2-3 tablespoons of coconut oil.  If you don’t have coconut oil, he said you can substitute it for olive oil or you can even mix both with the avocado for a super moisturizing mask. Mash up the avocado and mix everything until it’s a smooth consistency. My hairstylist recommends leaving it on your hair for at least 30 minutes in a shower cap to see the maximum benefits.
