*”Fashion Star”, NBC’s new fashion designer competition reality show that includes mentors Jessica Simpson and Nicole Richie premieres Tuesday, March 13 at 9:30/8:30c.

Never has there been a Pussycat sexier than Scherzinger – as in Nicole.
After years of subscribing to Dr. Dre’s Detox philosophy -teasing fans with the possibility of a solo project then repeatedly postponing its release date - the former PCD front woman finally took the plunge with Killer Love.
Consider yourself lucky if you’re in Europe since Killer Love was officially released there mid-March. America, we get to play the waiting game because the hot body bombshell still hasn’t disclosed the date of her American debut.
Don’t fret. We can still indulge in Nicole as she has already premiered the video for “Right There,” featuring 50 cent.
Rihanna must be seething because “Right There” could have totally been a hit of hers. And Beyonce’ has gotta be amazed that another starlet can do the “Crazy in Love/Uh Oh” dance as well as she. And me…well, I’m jealous because I’m dying to get feather extensions, and Nicole’s blue ones in this video are positively fly.
I’ve always been a fan of Nicole’s “swag” (pardon me for writing the most overused word of the past year) but there’s no other way to describe Scherzinger’s appeal.
While her vocals aren’t off the charts, her confidence is. Even though critics slam her music – from Pussycat Dolls to solo tracks – she’s continually working at finding her personalized niche of entertainment success.
Whenever you start thinking, “I wonder where that Nicole ‘what’s her name’ girl is” she’s right there in some national commercial or on Dancing With The Stars or cranking out some hot new pop track.
Cats really do have 9 lives.
I’ve got the scoop on your favorite reality divas who are back, bigger and better(?) than ever! And P.S. – some of their new endeavors don’t include TV!
One of my fave E! darlings Kendra Wilkinson is putting on her dancing shoes and heading over to the alphabet network (ABC). Kendra will pair with Louis Van Amstel for season 12 of Dancing With the Stars.
An early favorite, Kendra has already sustained a few injuries; including losing a toenail in her practice sessions before the show has even aired! Kendra confesses to having no dance experience, but we’ve seen her moves on her reality shows and we know she’s got what it takes to nab the disco ball trophy. Catch Kendra’s debut on Monday, March 21 at 8/7c.
Another E! reality star, Khloé Kardashian, is super excited for the start of her own Kardashians spin-off, Khloé & Lamar. The show follows the newlywed and her husband, LA Laker Lamar Odom, but the trailer doesn’t give much away; except for the fact that they may be trying to conceive! Khloé posted the promo pic (above) to her website yesterday, and added “I’m dying with anticipation!”
Meggywood told you about the show back when it was just an unconfirmed rumor, but now we’re getting close to the show premiere on April 10th at 10/9c on E!
Another “Super New Series” will premiere right after Khloe & Lamar on the same night; The Dance Scene with choreographer Laurieann Gibson, formerly of Diddy’s (or is it Diddy Dirty Money?) Making The Band on MTV. Since then she’s choreographed for major acts like Katy Perry, Keri Hilson, and Lady Gaga, just to name a few. The trailer doesn’t give too much away, other than showing Laurieann hollering at a bunch of pretty and talented dancers. Possibly auditioning them to back-up dance for her big stars? We’ll see!
Aubrey O’Day, (someone who knows Laurieann very well and also was on Making The Band on MTV), has landed on her feet with her own new show on Oxygen. All About Aubrey began airing on March 7th, and follows Aubrey’s run at trying to make a comeback (after being fired from Dannity Kane by Diddy) with the help of friends and industry heavyweights. I caught a few minutes of the show and only saw that Aubrey had dyed her dogs pink and purple, and can’t stop eating junk food. The show can be seen Mondays at 10/9c.
Another MTV reality alum may have had her new project scrapped by MTV, but she’s still working hard! Lauren Conrad released the images for her new clothing line, Paper Crown, in February. MTV had been shooting LC’s progress in designing the line, but dropped the project when they thought it was too “high brow” for audiences, and lead to rumors that Whitney Port blamed Lauren for the cancellation of her MTV reality show The City, (about desinging Whitney’s clothing line).
Paper Crown’s website describes the line as “a collection for those who like to play dress up in a grown up world.” It inlcudes maxi dresses, one-shoulder dresses, and leather shorts; all staple trends for Spring ’11.
Lauren’s The Hills co-star Audrina Patridge is filming her own reality show, Audrina, to air on VH1 in April. It will focus on her desire to take her career to the next level, while staying grounded with her down-to-earth family. VH1 has not announced a premiere date yet.
From The Hills to The City, another MTV alum is still in the spotlight despite her old reality show being cancelled. Olivia is modeling for Tibi in the photo above, and you can click here to see even more amazing pics of Olivia, who styled her own shoot! Yup, she brought her own accessories to show off her chic street style. She also told Elle in late 2010 that she is working on her own reality show that follows her while she (surprise!) designs a clothing line. Still waiting on deets for that show.
Well there you have it! All of your fave reality divas are back; who are you excited to see again? Leave a comment and let me know!
Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) kicks off again on March 21, and the cast for the upcoming 12th season of the show has just been released. From the look of things, it is going to be quite an interesting season as the cast is eclectic to say the least. Check out the cast and the dancers (all of whom are DWTS veterans) that will be joining them below!
The always hilarious Kirstie Alley, 60, former model and star of the reality show Fat Actress, and the classic television show, Cheers. She is paired with dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who has danced previously alongside ESPN’s Erin Andrews, boxer Laila Ali, Willa Ford, Tia Carrere and Brandy, amongst others.
Michael Catherwood, aka Psycho Mike, 31, deejay for Los Angeles-based radio station KROQ and co-host of “Loveline” alongside one of Positively Celebrity’s favorite people, Dr. Drew. Catherwood’s dance partner is the gorgeous Lacey Schwimmer, who previously danced alongside Jackass star Steve-O, Lance Bass of ‘N Sync and Kyle Massey from the Disney Channel.
Super athlete Chris Jericho, 40, former WWE world champion wrestler will have two time Emmy nominated professional dancer Cheryl Burke beside him for the competition. Burke won back to back DWTS in previous seasons alongside Drew Lachey and former NFL great, Dallas Cowboy Emmitt Smith.
Olympic Gold Medalist and multiple world champion boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, 54, has Russian ballroom dancer Anna Trebunskaya for his partner. Trebunskaya, who has previously danced alongside Jerry Rice, UFC tough guy Chuck Liddell and not-so-tough-guy Steve Guttenberg, will be looking for her first title in DWTS, and I personally believe she and Sugar Ray can make a run for the championship.
The beautiful Chelsea Kane, 22, known for multiple roles on the Disney Channel will be dancing with Mark Ballas, who won DWTS titles in the sixth season with Kristi Yamaguchi, and the eighth with Shawn Johnson.
The original Karate Kid, Ralph Macchio, 49, who recently was part of the surprise television hit Ugly Betty, will have Karina Smirnoff, five-time U.S. National Champion, World Trophy Champion, and Asian Open Champion beside him for the season. Smirnoff is a seasoned veteran of DWTS, having been previously partnered with Mario Lopez, Billy Ray Cyrus, singer Mario and Mike “the Situation” Sorrentino.
Czech bombshell Petra Nemcova, 31, one of the world’s top supermodels and philanthropists will be paired up with Emmy Nominated choreographer Dmitry Chaplin, who will probably be shirtless for most of the competition. Chaplin has danced with Holly Madison, of E!’s Holly’s World and singer Mya in previous seasons.
Romeo Miller, 21, aka rapper Lil Romeo who is all grown up and recently completed playing college basketball for the Trojans of the University of Southern California is a surprise contestant. His father, rapper and former sports agent Master P, was a former competitor on DWTS. Romeo will be dancing with blonde bombshell (and American born and raised) Chelsie Hightower, who only lasted two weeks in her last round of DTWS, when she was partnered with Michael Bolton.
Hines Ward, 34, NFL Pro Bowler from the Super Bowl runner up Pittsburgh Steelers, is matched up with Australian Kym Johnson, who has danced in multiple seasons of DWTS alongside Joey Fatone, NFL legend Warren Sapp, comedian David Alan Grier, David Hasselhoff and Donny Osmond (with whom Johnson won the ninth season).
The hilarious Wendy Williams, 46, syndicated daytime television talk-show host and best selling author will be dancing with Tony Dovolani, who notoriously quit on Kate Gosselin in a previous season of DWTS, who has the titles of undefeated U.S. Professional Rhythm Champion and undefeated World Professional Rhythm Champion under his belt. According to the New York Post, “The Wendy Williams Show” will go on hiatus while she participates in DWTS.
Rounding out the cast is former Playboy Playmate and member of E!’s Girls Next Door, Kendra Wilkinson, 25, who is currently starring on her own reality television show simply entitled “Kendra” that details the life of her, her husband (NFL wide receiver Hank Baskett), and their family. Dutch-born Louis van Amstel will be returning to DWTS for his eighth season as Wilkinson’s partner, and has danced previously with Lisa Rinna, Priscilla Presley, Kelly Osbourne, Niecy Nash and Margaret Cho.
Veteran DWTS sancer Derek Hough (who has been in every season since 5) will unfortunately not be returning for season 12, as he will be busy at work on “Cobu,” a new dance movie that is being shot in 3D and co-starring Asian pop star BoA!
All of us here at Positively Celebrity can’t wait for the new season to start on March 21st at 8pm ET/PT (don’t forget to TiVo!), and hope that the new cast is ready to put on a show because we will all be watching!

If you missed this week’s most talked about music moments, we’ve got ya covered right here in our music wrap up!
It’s the moment we’ve been waiting for since she gave a sneak peak of the song on New Year’s Eve in Vegas.
Kim Kardashian’s first single, “Jam (Turn It Up),” was released Wednesday. Officially, Kimmy K has made the music plunge.
The celebutante has The-Dream, to hate thank for producing the single, and allegedly, KK only agreed to record the song after several of her friends urged her to do it. Kim says the proceeds of the single will be donated to the positively awesome cause of cancer research.
(Lil’) Romeo never quite achieved the No Limit musical acclaim as did his record mogul pops, Master P, and being besties with Demar DeRozan wasn’t enough to secure him a spot on an NBA roster.
So what do you do when your rap, acting, and basketball careers fail to take off? You join the cast of “Dancing With the Stars!”
Romeo hopes to rekindle fame’s flame with fox trots and mambos on season 12 of DWTS. If his dance moves look as good as his body, the competition should be a breeze for him.
Regardless of whether you love her or hate her, you can’t stop talking about her. And Gaga’s latest trick – a 7 minute long video for “Born this Way” that graphically depicts the birth of an alien race – has everyone buzzing.
The catchy single helped spawn 10 year old, Maria Aragon, into an overnight, singing sensation after her Youtube version of “Born this Way” got millions of hits. Gaga invited the lucky little lady to sing a duet of the song with her on stage in Toronto earlier this week.
Tis the season for everyone ever having anything to do with American Idol to take center stage - Weight Watchers spokeswoman, J Hud, has been dazzling all the red carpets, Kimberly Caldwell has a new single AND video (yes, you read correctly… Kim Caldwell has a new song), and AI judge, J Lo, is back on the music scene with Pitbull collabo, “On The Floor.”
Released in late January, ”On The Floor” has peaked at 9 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and 15 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Songs. If Jenny’s new song wasn’t on your radar before, then the sexy new video will certainly get your attention. It will be interesting to see if any of the current Idols’ music ends up competing against JLo’s new music on the charts. A Billboard Battle Between Judge and Contestants…I kind of like the way that sounds.
While most people are gearing up for the holidays, Hollywood is gearing up for wedding season! After four years of dating, and a brief break up last summer, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are finally getting hitched!
The happy couple released a statement saying, “We’re excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together.” The ex Newlyweds star confirmed the announcement on his twitter, writing, “Hey all. If anyone’s heard the rumors of my engagement, they are absolutely true! Vanessa and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks for all the love.”
No word yet from team Jessica Simpson. While she’s had a bit of a rocky track record since her divorce from Nick in 2005, she seems to be in a stable relationship now with retired NFL player Eric Johnson.
Also headed to the chapel are Dancing with the Stars darling, Karina Smirnoff, and her baseball beau, St. Louis Cardinals pitcher, Brad Penny. Karina showed off her bling at the Tao Las Vegas’ five-year anniversary celebration, gushing about her plans of a destination wedding in Cabo. The couple, who started dating last October, told E! News, they plan to tie the knot on January 7, 2011.
In our positively unconventional engagement story of the day, Seth Rogen dished the deets on how he proposed to his actress girlfriend, Lauren Miller, while she was naked! As the first guest on Conan O’Brien’s brand new TBS show, Seth explained that despite his initial romantic plans for popping the question, his nerves got the best of him.
The funny guy told Conan, “I couldn’t have a conversation with my girlfriend. All I could think of was this ring. Like ‘Don’t say ‘Lord of the Rings!’ Don’t mention anything about a ring!” When he couldn’t stand it anymore, Seth marched upstairs and decided to propose right that second… “She was in our closet, changing, and she was literally only in her underpants. I had already kind of started …I didn’t picture it like this, and I know she didn’t picture it like this.”
A jokester at heart, Seth admitted the most surprising part of the engagement is that he is actually interested in the wedding planning process. “I find myself having opinions about what our centerpieces should look like, and I’m like, ‘What am I doing? I don’t care about any of this stuff at all.”
Seth and Lauren have been dating for six years, and have worked together in Observe and Report, Superbad, and Zack and Miri Make a Porno.
Cheers to L-O-V-E and more celebrity weddings!

In an apparent move to tap into Paula Abdul’s popularity (and controversial departure from its competitor), ABC producers are vying for Abdul to participate on this season’s Dancing with the Stars.
Stephen McPherson, the network’s programming chief, called Abdul following her departure from FOX’s American Idol. Noting Abdul was “an old friend,” McPherson gave no indication whether Abdul has reached a decision to join DWTS.
Another season, another batch of low wattage stars getting ready to strap on their dancing shoes. But the D-List stars aren’t the only common element of the “DWTS” cast. Just as every season has stars with the same typical occupations, the new cast also consists of familiar people like Olympians, athletes, funny guys, and “who are they?” stars.
On a special all-night name drop during ABC’s Sunday primetime shows, host Tom Bergeron unveiled the new cast for the dancing competition’s eight season premiering March 9 ( 8 ET/ PT). Start placing your wagers (and Googling them to find out who they are!) because here’s the new cast:
Biggest Star: Actress Denise Richards
Best case of nepotism: Country singer Chuck Wicks who will be paired with his real-life girlfriend, dancer Julianne Hough
First married couple to compete in the same season: Singer Jewel and professional rodeo champ husband Ty Murray
This season’s funny guy: TV prankster and stuntman Steve-O
This season’s other funny guy: Comedian David Alan Grier
Loosest interpretation of “star”: Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak
This season’s Olympian and youngest contestant to date: Gold medalist gymnast Shawn Johnson who’s 17
Resident bad girl: Rapper and actress Lil’ Kim
This season’s stud: Actor Gilles Marini (FYI: he’s from “Sex and the City”)
This season’s football player: Former NFL star Lawrence Taylor
More of an ‘80s star: Singer Belinda Carlisle from the Go-Go’s
Reporter to the stars: “Access Hollywood” co-host Nancy O’Dell
Christina Applegate’s Samantha Newly may be a recovering amnesiac, but viewers didn’t forget about her season two premiere Monday night on ABC.
At 11.7 million viewers tuning in, it was an increase from last season’s average 11.2 million. But then again following that little show called “Dancing with the Stars” can’t hurt.
The season premiere of “Samantha Who?” picked up with the lovable protagonist moving out of her parent’s house and back to the city after recovering at home for the last year.
Despite her recovery, she’s still rediscovering things about herself. This week she learns that she used to be a terrific dancer, and it just so happens her parents are rehearsing for a dance competition.
But, when her mom Regina’s nemesis (played by Cybill Shepherd) taunts Regina for not winning any competitions, Samantha quickly jumps in bragging to Shepherd’s character about her newly discovered dancing skills and because of the new “gay lawyers who moved onto the block,” the competition will allow the mother-daughter duo to compete.
It turns out their dance routine is painfully awful, but the newly reconciled mother and daughter have a chance to bond after so many years of “old, bad” Sam treating her family poorly.
But the best part of this storyline is that it let us watch Applegate and Jean Smart interact. The two have great comedic timing and bounce off of each other superbly.
What’s refreshing about “Samantha Who?” is that it’s not like many other comedies on TV right now that revolve around sex and… well that’s about it. Instead, it’s an uplifting story about Samantha becoming a good person.
In addition to the charm and comedic abilities of Applegate and Smart, Samantha’s snotty lawyer friend (Jennifer Esposito) and dorky childhood friend (Melissa McCarthy) round out the talented cast and are another reason to stay tuned after “Dancing with the Stars.”
Dancing with the Stars officials revealed this season’s lineup, which includes more than a few recognized performers, such as R&B Grammy award-winner, Toni Braxton.
Joining Braxton will be ABC’s All My Children egomaniac, Susan Lucci; Sugar Ray frontman cum celebrity reporter, Mark McGrath; TV and stage legend, Cloris Leachman; “Beautiful-but-is-she-really-talented?” Kim Kardashian; former ‘N Sync boy band member, Lance Bass; Ted McGinley, best known as Al’s Bundy’s next door neighbor on Married With Children; Olympic volleyball gold medalist, Misty May-Treanor; celebrity chef, Rocco Dispirito; and Brooke Burke, former Wild On E! and Rock Star host.
Wow…and to think there was nothing to look forward to this season.
