Emmy nominated director Brent Roske has been hitting the clubs in Los Angeles lately but not with a camera, but a guitar. His debut album ‘Live at the Viper Room’ is a best seller on Amazon.com, appeared in Rolling Stone this month and has been getting raves: “Roske paints a picture with every song…”says TRAFFIK.com.

He recently played the House of Blues and the Viper Room again (seen after the show in photo below with Jordan Belphi who plays ’Adam Davies’ on HBO’s ‘Entourage’).

Other celebs were in attendance as well, including ’Borat’ star Ken Davitian who acted in a short film that Roske directed along with John Lovitz. DAVITIAN: “Brent played one song about his family that was really beautiful – I told him he should make sure his parents hear that one.”

Roske will be performing a special concert at the Grammy Museum in downtown Los Angeles on Friday, October 8 at 8pm accompanied by cello, violin, flute and his favorite guitar. “The Grammy museum is a great space and it will be a fun show to do. The album and video are up for Grammys this year so it’s exciting to be a part of that whole scene” said Roske.

Jessica Simpson is headed back to our living rooms! No, it’s not another reality show, but does it count as reality if you’re playing yourself?

That’s just what J. Simp will be doing as she stretches her acting chops playing the role of … J.Simp … on HBO’s Entourage.

We’ll see the actress/singer portraying “Sad and Angry” Jessica circa the days she lost her Malti-poo, Daisy. Ari (played by Jeremy Piven) attempts to cheer her up by giving her a poodle.

Instead of talking about the Harry Potter’s, 2012’s or The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’s of 2009 that are so far away from hitting theaters it seems like they won’t premiere until … well 2012, we’re going to look at five upcoming flicks that will be at a theater near you before the Obama’s have time to fully move in.

Bride Wars – Opening January 9, 2009. There’s nothing like sharing wedding plans with a best girlfriend, but when plans start to overlap, it’s likely to evoke more nightmares than Freddy Krueger. “Wars” seems to have a bouquet of comedic potential as well as girls in white dresses – fighting. But before all the guys zone out this movie does offer something for them too. Two of the prettiest actresses in Hollywood – Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson.

Taken – Opening January 30, 2009.  Staring Liam Neeson as an ex-Secret Agent who has to rescue his estranged daughter (former “Lost” star Maggie Grace) who was kiddnapped while in Paris.  As reviewer Mr. Green from CrimeCritics.com describes, “it’s a film in which you enjoy watching HOW he will succeed. And let me state, you will enjoy every punch Bryan (Neeson) delivers to every henchmen.”

Fanboys – Opening February 6, 2009. I think “Fanboys” will be the “Superbad” of 2009. Yes, it’s about a group of “Star Wars” fans set to break into George Lucas’ business headquarters, Skywalker Ranch, and steal a copy of “Star Wars Episode 1.” Before you groan at the sound of a Sci-Fi movie, know that it’s really a coming of age story about friends who take a huge risk for one of their own. To lend some credibility, Producers include Kevin Spacey and the Weinstein Company.

He’s Just Not That Into You – Opening February 9, 2009. This chick flick makes the list because: 1) it’s based on a NY Times Best Seller, Oprah endorsed book and 2) EVERYONE is in it. That’s no exaggeration. Here’s just some of the cast: Ginnifer Goodwin (Big Love), Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Connelly (The Day The Earth Stood Still), Scarlett Johansson, Drew Barrymore, Ben Affleck, Justin Long (Mac commercials), Bradley Cooper (Wedding Crashers), Sasha Alexander (Yes Man), Kevin Connolly (Entourage), and MANY others.

Push – Opening February 9, 2009. Dakota Fanning, Chris Evans and Djimon Hounsou star in this film about “psychic espionage.” A Government agency is genetically modifying people to have psychic abilities and “getting rid” of those who don’t want to participate. Fanning and Evans need to find an individual who could help end the dangerous agency. So, Government Misconduct + Exotic Location (Hong Kong) + Psychic, Telekinetic, Move Stuff With Your Mind Abilities + The Cinematographer Who Did “Donnie Brasco,” “Gangster No. 1,” “Wicker Park” & “Lucky Number Slevin” = A Must See Movie!

Virgin America is teaming up with HBO to help launch its non-stop flight from New York to Las Vegas in true Hollywood style: an Entourage themed flight.

To commemorate the inaugural flight, the airline plans to host an Entourage Party at a private JFK hanger.  Some of show’s cast members are expected to attend; however, no word on whether the partying “cast members” will be Vince’s string of disposable girlfriends from the past four seasons or if Vince and the boys, themselves, will be making an appearance. The party will finish off in Las Vegas at, of course, the Playboy Club in the Palms Casino.

Throughout the month of September, Virgin America’s first class will be known as “Entourage Class”, and the lucky passengers will be pampered with amenities that would make even Ari jealous: noise canceling head phones, champagne, Godiva chocolates, Kielh’s products, Altoids, “Entourage Air” blankets, and eye masks.

The hip, edgy (and slightly expensive) airline is no stranger to enlisting celebrities to garner attention and promote the airline.   Lauren Conrad, Pamela Anderson, and Carmen Electra were among the many celebrities to help commemorate Virgin America’s first flight from San Francisco to Las Vegas last October.

What Happens in Vegas: Starring Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher, it’s the story of two down-on-their-luck hotties who get drunk and married on a random trip to Vegas. When they try to get the marriage annulled, Judge Dennis Miller – I mean…Judge R.D. Whopper, sentences the couple to six months of marriage.

Dirty Jobs Collection 3:  Mike Rowe tries his hand at jobs such as Billboard Installer, Snake Wrangler, Leather Tanner, Vomit Island Worker, Alligator Egg Collector, Odor Eater, Slime Eel Fisherman, Buoy Cleaner and many others sure to make you (and Mike) say Ew (in a good way)!

Nightmare Before Christmas – Ultimate Collector’s DVD Set: The Tim Burton stop-motion musical is being released in a collector’s edition with special features including: Jack’s Haunted Mansion Tour, an additional short film, Tim Burton’s original poem, new commentary, behind the scenes footage and the words of some of the classic and haunting songs.

Dog the Bounty Hunter: Best of Season 4: The longhaired, no-nonsense fugitive hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman hand picked the best of the fourth season of this highly rated realty show. Episodes include: Make a Wish, The Good Fight, The Last Call, The Smackdown of Baby Lyssa, The Big Wipe-Out, No Love Still, and The Time to Cry.

Purple Violets:  Selma Blair, Patrick Wilson, Edward Burns and Debra Messing star in this relationship comedy about two couples that dated in college who run into each other later in life. Second chances and ill timing keep things interesting for characters Patti, Kate, Murphy and Brian.

Entourage – The Complete Fourth Season:  The DVD of the 4^th addition of the award winning HBO series staring Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Kevin Connolly, Jerry Ferrara and Jeremy Piven features: Welcome to the Jungle, The First Cut is the Deepest, Sorry, Harvey, The Dream Team and all installments rounding out another terrific season.

Heroes – Season 2:  Heroes – an Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG, and Teen Choice Award winning series – offers top episodes from their second season including Cautionary Tales, Out of Time, Four Months Ago, Powerless, Fight or Flight, and The Kindness of Strangers.
