After 11 years of marriage, the honeymoon phase has passed for Courteney Cox and David Arquette.
The couple has agreed to a trial separation. On Monday, they released a statement saying, “…The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage. We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply. As we go though this process we are determined to use kindness and understanding to get through this together. We are comfortable with the boundaries that we have established for each other during this separation and we hope that our friends, family, fans and the media also show us respect, dignity, understanding and love at this time as well.”
While Courteney admitted back in June that she and David had been attending couples therapy, on September 22, Court appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, raving about her hubby and how much fun he is.
Courteney and David have spent all summer filming Scream 4 together. Ironically, they began their relationship back in 1996 while filming the original Scream, and married three years later. They have a six-year-old daughter, Coco.
Speaking of Splitsville, pop star Christina Aguilera has split from her music executive husband, Jordan Bratman.
A source tells Us Magazine, “They were very much in love, but over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife.” The source adds that the couple even took a trip to Italy in August to rekindle their relationship, but it didn’t help.
Christina and Jordan met in 2002 when he was a producer on one of her albums, and they tied the knot in 2005. Although they have not confirmed whether or not they will divorce, they have been separated for a few months already and are now living apart.
The insider says right now the couple’s two-year-old son, Max, is the main concern of the relationship, and Christina is “doing her best to be a great mom.”
It’s so hard not to imagine our favorite Hollywood couples together, but Positively Celebrity wishes them all the best of luck, and hopes that they can all get through this difficult time.
Betty White must be having the best year ever. She hosted Saturday Night Live, got nominated for an Emmy, had a hilarious super bowl ad that went viral, landed a role in a brand new sitcom Hot in Cleveland, and now she is cashing in on her success. But don’t worry; this ‘golden girl’ is definitely not selfish!
According to the Associated Press, the 88-year-old actress posed for a 2011 calendar that will go on sale this September and all proceeds will go to her favorite charity, the Morris Animal Foundation. The fabulous calendar features photos of her with animals and some with half-naked men. Go Betty!
Now she revealed to US Magazine that she will also be producing a clothing line of hoodies and T-shirts with Jerry Leigh Apparel. A portion of the proceeds will benefit her philanthropic organization as well.
The apparel, which is available for $48 at Hoodiebuddie.com, includes colorful Warhol-like photos of Betty and one says ‘Long live the queen!’
What do you think? Will you be buying a Betty White hoodie or calendar?
Rumors have been put to rest once again regarding Jennifer Aniston’s suspected pregnancy. Reconciliation with her boyfriend John Mayer, 31, from their split in August has inevitably started up the rumor mill again for Jen.
Being in a relationship apparently qualifies her to be pregnant. Previously speculated fathers of her “supposed child” include Vince Vaughn, Paul Sculfor, and Sex in the City’s Jason Lewis.
Recently In Touch claimed on its cover that Jen, 39, “looks pregnant” and speculated that the Aniston and Mayer reunion was due to a pregnancy.
“It’s not true,” a souse close to Mayer told Usmagazine.com.
Nonetheless, the couple can’t seem to get the tabloids off their case.
As of Saturday evening Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds are officially man and wife. The nuptials took place outside Vancouver in the groom’s native Canada, reports E! News. With few details being released yet, it was no doubt an intimate affair.
This was the first wedding for both Johansson, 23, and Reynolds, 31, who had been engaged since May and dating since spring 2007. Reynolds had, however, been previously engaged to singer Alanis Morissette.
Johansson announced their engagement on May 5 at the Met Costume Ball Gala by showcasing her three-carat diamond ring (estimated to be worth about $30,000) US Magazine reports.
One of the most beloved on-screen couples will be together again this December in the film Revolutionary Road.
Last seen together in the 1997 film Titanic, Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio hope to charm audiences with their on-screen chemistry portraying a suburban couple from Connecticut that struggle to achieve their individual goals and keep their romance alive.
The storyline is based on a highly-praised 1961 novel by Richard Yates.
The film is the first collaboration between Winslet and husband Sam Mendes.
“We knew that if we were going to do something again, it had to be something big and emotional,” Winslet said of reuniting with DiCaprio, which she arranged, according to US Weekly.
